Construction Project Manager Role Objectives

  • Manage fast-paced OSHPD projects with many parties
  • Strategically utilize project controls, meet milestones, and deliver projects
  • Maximize project efficiency, accuracy, safety and quality control.

Construction Project Manager Responsibilities and other Duties:

  • Be a valued ambassador and team member of FTG Builders, resulting in Excellence for Every Project Every Day.
  • Provide consistent and direct support and foster relationships with our clients
  • Strategically utilize drawings and schedules to guide complex building processes
  • Manage, supervise, and foster development of project engineers on your team
  • Be a team leader and regularly demonstrate support in the office and the field.
  • Lead and coach the project engineers in writing RFIs, submittals, and technical aspects of the building process
  • Effectively and collaboratively manage, negotiate contracts, and build relationships with subcontractors
  • Work in unison, provide support, and guidance to field superintendents
  • Estimate and accurately bid projects based on historical data, past projects/bid requests, and /or predictive analytics to study financial forecasts to determine the pricing and accurate SOVs
  • Sub-contractor negotiate with, on contracts with sub-contractors and
  • Plan and publish project schedules and abel to utilize minimum cost scheduling to analayze critical path and project duration to maximize benefits for our clients
  • Tightly monitor actual and planned performances and provide progress reporting to the building team
  • Monitor and analyze incremental schedule milestones to evaluate cost and schedule performance
  • Use effective monthly billing processes and correlate with payment projections or cash requirement curve.
  • Effect use of cost engineering in forecasting and trending, use of project information to measure how well the project is doing and will end.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree(s) in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, and/or construction management plus 6 to 10 years OSHPD experience

OR

  • 10 to 15 years OSHPD or Facilities experience and no degree
  • Has a portfolio of demonstrated excellence of past design build projects
  • Skillful communicator and able to lead and motiviate teams
  • Must have a valid driver's license, vehicle, and willingness to travel to project sites

Pay: $81,155.98 - $97,736.23 per year
